The Baltimore Orioles are setting the bar high with a slew of plush updates to Oriole Park at Camden Yards, aiming for a 2026 launch. In what is poised to transform the fan experience, the Orioles have disclosed plans to introduce a swanky new premium club, right behind home plate, no less.
Replacing the former press box, this exclusive club will cater to an estimated 380 aficionados, providing them with VIP parking, private entry, and an ever-changing high-end menu and beverage service, according to WMAR-2 News. However, that's not all; last month's announcement boasted of a center field videoboard, set to rival those of others across Major League Baseball.
More tasty details have emerged on the suite of enhancements planned for the Orioles' nest. A behemoth of a videoboard will take center stage at center field, promising to be double the size of what fans are accustomed to. Also on the drawing board are a fresh proper field wall display and snazzy ribbon boards in the club level and upper deck, per details from a news release referenced by WBAL-TV.
It's full steam ahead for the Orioles, as the Maryland Stadium Authority has green-lit the renovation plans, ensuring everything rolls out smoothly by 2026. In the marching orders, too, is an update for the control room, crucial for unifying operations throughout this famed ballpark.
