
Gaston County Police are requesting the public's assistance in a theft case that involved the disappearance of a small lawn mower trailer and approximately $500 worth of scrap copper. According to the authorities, the items were stolen from a backyard in the 100 block of Mountain Meadows Drive in Bessemer City, N.C., sometime between May 22 and May 23.
The stolen trailer is described as being red in color, intended to be pulled behind a lawn mower. The copper was said to have been stored in two blue barrels. Police believe the suspect may have accessed the property from the wooded area behind the residence
Authorities have also provided a way for citizens to get actively involved in the case. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to come forward and contact Officer P. To assist with the identification process, police are asking individuals to reference the case number 2025-00036176 when providing any tips.
The post on the Gaston County Police Department's Facebook page yesterday, provides a direct link to the surveillance footage on their Youtube playlist, encouraging the community to view and possibly recognize the person in question. "The quality of the videos is very low, but we do not have any other surveillance footage at this time," the post states, highlighting the importance of any information the public can provide.
