The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is actively seeking assistance from the public to help identify two suspects connected to the theft of a pickup truck and valuable work equipment in Far North Bexar County. The theft occurred on Sunday, and was captured by surveillance footage showing a small SUV arriving at a residence on Veining Way just before 2 a.m. A hooded passenger exited the vehicle and, after almost 20 minutes, drove off in the homeowner's silver 2022 Ram 1500, as reported by FOX San Antonio.

Investigators noted that the truck contained high-value work equipment worth several thousand dollars. The poor lighting conditions and video quality have prevented authorities from acquiring a clear license plate or detailed descriptions of the suspects. However, the footage did indicate that the individual appeared to crawl under the truck to potentially disable the horn or alarm system before proceeding to steal the vehicle, KENS 5 reports.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is asking residents with home security cameras to check footage from June 15 between 1:30 and 2:30 a.m. They’re looking for anything that might show the suspects or the stolen truck. A screwdriver found at the scene is being used as evidence. If you saw or recorded anything suspicious, please contact the authorities, as per KENS 5.

If you have any information about the suspects or the theft, contact the Bexar County Sheriff's Office at (210) 335-6000 or email [email protected]. You can also call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP. Tips that lead to an arrest may earn a reward of up to $5,000, as reported by KENS 5.
