Bobcat Bonnie's Ferndale location is serving its last meals today. The restaurant chain has closed this location and now only the Lansing branch remains open. The Ferndale closure was announced on social media just hours before the final day, as reported by ClickOnDetroit.

Owner Matt Buskard said, "To our friends- THANK YOU for 7 years of what I can only describe as a dream. I am so lucky and so blessed to have been a part of such a great community," according to WXYZ. The Ferndale location will operate today from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., or until it sells out. Drinks are priced at $5, with cash preferred, but other payment methods are accepted.

Bobcat Bonnie's will hold a sale starting on Monday to liquidate assets at its vacated Ferndale location. The restaurant chain recently closed multiple sites, including Corktown, Wyandotte, Ypsilanti, Clinton Township, and Grand Rapids. The Corktown branch closed in March, followed by others despite efforts to secure financial support. Owner Buskard cited industry challenges and declining sales. The closure coincides with Ferndale’s Pride 2025 event. A new "amazing" operator is expected to take over the W. 9 Mile space, as detailed by Detroit Free Press

As Bobcat Bonnie's Ferndale location closes, owner Buskard shared a statement with WXYZ: "Thank you Ferndale for truly changing so many of our lives. And thank you for changing mine- and building my confidence to be myself without wavering. It is so empowering to live in this community. If you are ever in the Lansing area- we would love to see you at Bobcat Lansing!"
