According to the National Weather Service, the city began the day with partly sunny skies and a high near 66 degrees. An east wind at 8 mph brings a light breeze for outdoor activities.
For the evening and overnight hours, the forecast includes mostly cloudy skies with a low around 54 degrees and patchy fog developing after 1 a.m. While the morning started off cloudy and cool, breaks of sunshine are expected by the afternoon, providing improved conditions for the rest of the day, according to Boston 25 News.
Looking ahead, the National Weather Service reports a warming trend through the week. Monday will begin with early patchy fog, followed by partly sunny skies and a high near 69 degrees. On Tuesday, temperatures will climb to around 72 degrees with calm conditions in the morning before an east wind develops. There is a 30% chance of showers late Tuesday night into early Wednesday.
Thursday is expected to bring the highest temperatures of the week, with highs near 90 degrees and increasing humidity. Boston 25 News notes that a cold front arriving late in the day could trigger isolated storms. By Friday, the weather is forecast to stabilize, with more seasonable conditions and highs in the low 80s.
