If conditions improve, there is a chance of seeing the Northern Lights farther south than usual, possibly as far as the Gulf Coast, as reported by NBC Boston. The best viewing time is from sunset to midnight, weather permitting.
Monday will bring mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 70s and light west winds. A brief shower is possible, but the chance remains low. High pressure is expected to settle over the region by Tuesday, leading to several days of sunshine and temperatures rising into the upper 70s to low 80s.
Warmer conditions will continue midweek. Wednesday and Thursday are forecast to reach highs near 90 degrees inland. Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny and hot, with a high around 91 and southwest winds between 6 to 9 mph.
Friday brings a 30% chance of showers and a high near 85 under partly sunny skies. Rain chances increase to 50% Friday night. The unsettled pattern may continue into Saturday, with similar rain chances and a high near 77, as winds shift from southwest to northwest.
