During this hearing, the Boulder County District Attorney's Office is expected to formally lay out the charges against the defendant, indicating that there is enough evidence to move forward with the prosecution on the state charges, which include Attempted Murder in the First Degree, among others. Officials have updated the count and now say there are a total of 16 victims, including eight females and seven males, the ages ranging from 25 to 88. The Court will also set a date for subsequent proceedings.

In response to the grave nature of this case, District Attorney Michael Dougherty was quoted in the release, "We continue to work closely with our federal, state, and local partners in a strong response to this horrific attack. We are united in our commitment to pursuing justice for all the victims, their many loved ones, and this community.
