Residents of Brighton, mark your calendars for a greener commute this June. To promote healthier lifestyles and a cleaner environment, Bike Brighton is hosting its annual "Bike to Work Day" event. On Wednesday, June 25, from 7-9 a.m., cyclists are invited to join the "Bike-In Breakfast Burrito Bash" on the south side of Brighton City Hall at 500 South 4th Avenue.

A hearty breakfast burrito and some fruit will be provided to participants on a first-come, first-served basis, courtesy of local partner Martin Marietta. Drinks will also be available. In addition to the breakfast offerings, Martin Marietta will have small giveaways for attendees, available while supplies last. No RSVP is necessary for those wishing to take part in the event, and participants are strongly encouraged to wear helmets for their safety while riding.

Bike to Work Day is part of a larger initiative to encourage better health practices, reduce roadway congestion, and improve air quality within the Denver region. The event positions biking as a viable and sustainable alternative to the daily car commute, as detailed by the City of Brighton.
