The City of Brighton is charting its utility future with a freshly minted strategic plan. Announced publicly through a news release, the Brighton Utilities Department disclosed a comprehensive blueprint for steering operations through the year 2030. This five-year strategic scheme hinges on pivotal areas, including bolstering workforce excellence, ensuring sustainable infrastructure, amplifying public communication, and sharpening emergency response readiness.
“This plan reflects our commitment to being a model utility provider along the Front Range,” said Brighton Utilities Director Scott Olsen, as per the City of Brighton Utilities Department. The strategy emerged from joint efforts, involving utilities staff and collaboration with several city departments. Despite the plan being developed collaboratively, it aims to position the Utilities Department as a regional leader, introducing initiatives geared towards expanding its network of partnerships.
The strategic plan is not just another document; it's Brighton Utilities planting its flag in the realm of innovation. According to the City of Brighton Utilities Department, Organizational Growth and Development will see the department nurturing its workforce, investing in their skills and well-being to foster retention and collaborative strength. Likewise, the aspect of Sustainable Infrastructure denotes not just physically lasting utilities but also fiscal prudence and environmental mindfulness.
