Earlier this month, a routine traffic stop in Brooklyn Park escalated into a brief pursuit as a juvenile male decided to hit the gas instead of the brakes when officers flagged him down for careless driving. The police in the area of 70th Ave N and Kentucky Ave N initially attempted to stop the vehicle at approximately 11:45 A.M., according to the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
The young driver was apprehended after the vehicle was located in the vicinity. Despite the dramatics of a fleeting chase, no injuries were reported in the police statement. While the details about the juvenile's motive for fleeing remain sparse, the Brooklyn Park Police Department confirmed the arrest, stating, "a juvenile male driver was arrested."
