
Early Sunday morning, a 21-year-old woman found herself caught in the crossfire of a bar fight just east of downtown San Antonio, which resulted in her being shot in the leg. KTSA News reports that the incident occurred before 2 a.m. in the busy area of Live Oak and Nolan Streets. The altercation escalated to violence when an unnamed individual began firing a weapon intended for the bar's security guard, who had been trying to diffuse the situation.
In a failed attempt to hit the guard, the shooter inadvertently struck the woman, who was identified only as a bystander. She was subsequently transported to the hospital with a wound deemed non-life-threatening. As per KENS 5, the shooting took place around 1:45 a.m. in the vicinity of the 500 block of Live Oak Street, near Nolan Street. The shooter managed to flee the scene before law enforcement arrived and has not been located.
No arrests have been made, and police haven’t released a description of the suspected shooter. The investigation is ongoing, and details about the bar fight and shooting are still unclear. It’s also unknown if any charges will be filed, as per KENS 5.
