Set for June 6, the prescribed burn is designed to munch through 200 acres of grass and brush, bolstering defenses for Fiddletown and its environs. Needing to dance with the weather and air quality dictates, the burn is slated to waltz from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. near the crossroads of Fiddletown Road and Quartz Mountain Road, as reported by the CAL FIRE Amador-El Dorado Unit.
While locals might spy plumes ascending, this choreography of fire is a meticulous one.
