The City of Carrollton gears up for the return of the LIV Golf Tournament, set to tee off at Maridoe Golf Club from June 27 to June 29. The event will feature big names in the sport, including the likes of Bryson DeChambeau, who's aiming for his first win on native grounds. A considerable turnout is expected as fans gather to witness an intense competition under the sweltering skies of Texas.
In what promises to be a combo of sports and music, Saturday's attendees are in for a special treat. Whiskey Myers, the southern rock group that commanded the airwaves with their album “Early Morning Shakes” and garnered further recognition through the show "Yellowstone," will perform live on June 28. According to the City of Carrollton's announcement, all pass holders for that day will have access to the concert, with the option to upgrade to a Concert Pit ticket for those looking for a closer encounter and additional perks.
Ever since its 2021 inception, the LIV Golf professional tour has brought a fresh approach to the game with its 54-hole events, which is a nod to its name "LIV" - the Roman numeral equivalent. In anticipation of a high volume of visitors, the city has issued a traffic notice advising drivers on road closures and encouraging the use of caution during tournament days.
