The City of Carrollton has announced a change of plans for their Chalk the Park event, which was originally set for today but has now been shifted to tomorrow due to the threat of bad weather. The festival, designed to be a family-friendly affair full of color and creativity, will unfold at the same location, Mary Heads Carter Park on 2320 Heads Lane, and during the same time from 5 to 8 p.m., provided that nature plays nice this time around.
In a dry humor twist, the city quipped that "the weather wants to contribute its masterpiece, and unfortunately, it's mostly in watercolors and stormy skies," according to the City of Carrollton. The rescheduled event promises to deliver all the originally planned fun activities, including water games, inflatable obstacle courses, and vibrant photo opportunities.
Attendees are encouraged to release their inner artists with unlimited chalk for sidewalk drawings, while supplies last, or by bringing their own. Beyond the colorful chaos, food trucks will be ready to fuel the masses with a variety of tasty options. And as the daylight dims, families can hunker down with lawn chairs and blankets for a special screening of "Inside Out 2 (2024)", as noted by the City of Carrollton.
