July in Charlotte County is not just about the blazing sun and summer vibes—it is the time to honor the spaces that bind us in recreation and leisure. According to a recent announcement by Charlotte County Community Services, they are celebrating Park and Recreation Month with a call to action: "Get Up, Get Out and Get Active." The theme for this year, "Build Together, Play Together," recognizes the dedicated professionals who keep our parks operating and our communities connected.
The festivities come with an activity calendar for the entirety of July, spotlighting a different park or recreation activity daily. Committed to making recreation accessible to all, Charlotte County will waive the entry fee to two popular swimming spots today. Despite being mid-summer, without paying a dime visitors can take a blissful dip at Centennial Park pool or Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park pool.
The efforts of Charlotte County Community Services extend beyond free pool access, emphasizing the importance of parks and recreation in fostering community bonds. With an activity calendar teeming with options, every resident, whether drawn by the allure of open spaces or structured programs, has the opportunity to engage in the celebration.
