Three armed and masked teenagers broke into Enumclaw High School on Saturday around 10 p.m., prompting concerns among police that the incident may have been a dry run for a potential school shooting. According to FOX13 Seattle, the suspects were captured on surveillance cameras but left before officers arrived.
The teens did not steal anything or cause property damage, leading authorities to believe the break-in may have been used to observe the school's layout and security. Investigators later confirmed that at least one of the teens had a firearm during the incident, as per KIRO 7.
As of this morning, two of the three suspects were in custody, according to KOMO News. Police and school officials are continuing to investigate the break-in and are working together to ensure campus safety.
Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the break-in to contact law enforcement to support the ongoing investigation.
