
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office has announced a sorrowful conclusion to the case of Charlotte Fosgate, a teenager who was reported missing from Oak Grove and has now been found deceased. According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, Fosgate’s body was recovered from the Willamette River on May 10 by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office and later identified by the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office. In statements released by authorities, there are currently no signs indicative of foul play related to her death.
The discovery draws to a close weeks of uncertainty and search efforts by local law enforcement and the community, efforts that began when Fosgate disappeared; her family and friends were holding on to hope for a different outcome, yet none-the-less law enforcement continued their search until this tragic discovery was made, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office performed the recovery. The quest to find Fosgate has been one that has echoed throughout the Clackamas County community.
As the investigation continues, officials have not released further details surrounding the circumstances of Fosgate’s death. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information pertinent to the case to come forward, as it could aid in piecing together the final days of Fosgate’s life and bring closure for all who knew her.
