Clark County's recently established Agricultural Advisory Commission is slated to convene for its inaugural meeting on Monday, June 23, according to the county's planning department. Keeping with the spirit of inclusivity and modern convenience, the gathering will be accessible as a hybrid event, allowing attendees to choose between showing up in person at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., or logging on virtually using Webex.
The county council, envisioned a body that would serve as a conduit between the farming community and various governmental entities back in November 2024, when it passed an ordinance to bring this 13-member commission to life. Its main goal is to shepherd recommendations and insights related to agriculture in Clark County to the County Manager, County Council, and assorted boards, and commissions.
For those wishing to dial in, they may join the meeting via Webex with the webinar number 2488 986 1012 and passcode ‘juneagcom’. Alternatively, one can join by phone, by calling 1-408-418-9388 and punching in the same webinar number.
