The Clarksville Police Department is in the midst of investigating a shooting incident that unfolded Tuesday evening near a local Walmart. According to WSMV, the event was reported at approximately 7:13 p.m. with several 911 calls that brought officers to the scene behind Walmart in the 1600 block of Ft Campbell Boulevard.
During the event, which took place near the intersection of Quinn Lane and Glenkirk Drive, responding officers detained three individuals. Held in connection to the incident, the three people's involvement is still being determined, while the police search for further details, WKRN reports. The officers detected that several apartments on Glenkirk Drive were struck by gunfire, heralding a threat that thankfully did not result in injuries.
"This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately,” CPD stated, as Clarksville Now quoted. The Clarksville Police have encouraged anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward as they endeavor to piece together what transpired that evening.
