On duty when the shooting happened, officers found five adults and a juvenile with gunshot wounds, as well as another juvenile injured but not by gunfire. Transporting the victims to several local hospitals, an eighth victim later arrived at a hospital on their own.
In a cruel twist of fate, one of the adult victims, named Mr. Jusiah Mason, succumbed to his injuries the following day. According to the Columbus Division of Police, despite exhaustive efforts to save him, Mason was pronounced dead at 12:36 p.m. yesterday. The sorrowful news comes amid reports that the other individuals involved in the shooting have now been stabilized. At the time of the incident, detectives believe a considerable crowd was present.
