Officers responded to a call at 11:41 p.m. on December 31, 2024, on the 400 block of Trevitt St., where the shooting took place. Originally reported as Columbus Division of Police stated, the camera footage shows the suspect vehicle approaching the victims' residence, turning off its lights before unloading several shots into the home, striking the two young girls.
Local detectives, rallying the community's attention, hope that the new footage will be pivotal in apprehending the individuals associated with this act of violence. Having sustained severe injuries in the incident, a 10-year-old girl is now facing a lifetime of challenges due to the paralysis caused by a gunshot wound.
