Apple Valley deputies apprehended a Covina man identified as Rickey Rabb, 20, on charges of burglary, following a report of a suspicious individual lurking and peering into the windows of a residence on the 20000 block of Pah-Ute Road. The incident, which took place on the evening of June 9, 2024, led to the discovery of Rabb's alleged repeated theft of women's underwear from a complex's laundry room. The San Bernardino Sheriff-Coroner Department released a statement confirming that the suspect was detained without any trouble that Monday night.
Upon investigation, it was found that Rabb is believed to have perpetrated the crime on no less than five separate occasions. In a swift response to a call reporting suspicious activity, the deputies managed to quickly locate and detain Rabb nearby. Per the official press release, it was confirmed by the victim and through the subsequent investigation that the stolen articles were indeed women's underwear.
Rabb is currently being held at the High Desert Detention Center, where he was booked with his bail set at $60,000.
