A D.C. school employee has been hit with a federal child pornography charge, causing disturbance in the local community. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, together with the FBI's Washington Field Office, broke the news of the arraignment of Devonne Keith Brown, 56, who is now facing serious allegations.
Brown reportedly worked at a school in Northeast Washington, D.C., and may have also had connections to a local youth track club. Yesterday, the U.S. Attorney Jeannine Pirro and FBI Assistant Director Steven Jensen officially announced that Brown is charged with one count of receipt of child pornography after having allegedly solicited the production of child sexual abuse material from a minor in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Following his court appearance. He was ordered to remain detained pending a further hearing, according to the Department of Justice.
The case, which now stands as a disturbing reminder of the vulnerability of our youth in supposedly safe spaces, is currently under investigation. The FBI is actively seeking additional information and urges anyone with insights to come forward, which could potentially help unravel the extent of Brown's activities and affiliations.
