As the city gears up for its July brush and bulky item collection, Dallas residents should take note of the adjusted schedule, thanks to the peculiarities of this year's calendar. With a late start to the month's first Monday, Sanitation Services has announced that July's collection will kick off on July 7, shifting the entire month's schedule slightly later than usual. Residents can confirm their area's collection week by utilizing the resources available on the Sanitation Department's website or through their dedicated mobile app.
For those who have yet to mark their calendars, set-out dates begin on Thursdays before the designated collection week. According to the City of Dallas, the setout period for the first Monday week is from July 3 through July 6, with the collection period following from July 7 to July 12. Due to the five Mondays in June, there will be no collection in the first week of July, an important detail for those who might typically anticipate a pickup during this time.
Subsequent collection weeks continue in a similar pattern, with the second Monday week's setout dates starting from July 10 through July 13. The website specifies that all materials should be at the curb by 7 a.m. Monday to be collected during that week's collection period, which spans from July 14 to July 19. The pattern persists through the remaining weeks of July, ensuring that every resident has a clear understanding of when to have their bulky items ready for pickup.
