Davis homeowners have until July 31, to apply for a refund on the 2024–2025 Park Maintenance Tax and Open Space Protection Tax. The City announced that eligible low-income homeowners can receive a full refund for both taxes, according to the City of Davis.
The City of Davis offers a refund program for low-income residents who own and live in their homes. To qualify, total household income must be at or below 50% of the area’s median income, based on household size. For example, the limit is $44,100 for one person and $83,100 for a household of eight. The program is not a tax exemption but provides refunds after payment. One application covers both types of taxes.
The City of Davis has made applications available online through its official website. Printed copies can be picked up at the Davis Senior Center and the City Hall Finance Department. Completed forms may be submitted by mail, dropped off at the City Hall parking lot dropbox, or delivered in person to the Finance Department.
