The City of Denton, Texas, is rolling out the red, white, and blue carpet for its annual Yankee Doodle Parade, set to march through the Downtown Denton Square at 9 a.m. on June 28. A social media post from the City of Denton, TX - City Hall invites everyone to show their patriotic colors at the event. "We want YOU to come to the annual Yankee Doodle Parade... We hope to see you there decked out in your red, white, and blue!" the city proclaimed.
But the star-spangled celebrations don't end with the parade. Dentonites are also looking forward to the Denton Noon Kiwanis Club's fireworks display, which will illuminate the skies above the Denton Fairgrounds on July 3, from 6 to 10 p.m. The main event, the fireworks show, is expected to commence at 9:30 p.m., ensuring a pre-Independence Day spectacle that's sure to dazzle.
However, the city hasn't forgotten about the well-being of its four-legged residents. With the anticipation of fireworks, which can often be a source of anxiety for pets, they've issued a gentle reminder for pet owners. "P.S. We're super excited about the fireworks, but now is a great time to make sure you have plans for your furry friends to feel safe and secure ahead of this year's fireworks show!" the City of Denton noted. The message is a thoughtful nod to the often overlooked needs of pets during times of celebration.
