A recent social media post from the DeSoto Police Department invites beginners and experienced shooters alike to participate in this certification opportunity on Saturday, July 26, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The $75 fee will cover classroom instruction at the DeSoto Police Department Training Room, located on 714 East Beltline Road, and range qualification at the Eagle Gun Range, 14400 Midway Rd in Farmers Branch.
Not only does this course welcome those new to firearms, but it also offers a special 15% discount for DeSoto city employees and their families. According to the same announcement, participants will need to supply or rent a handgun, along with eye and ear protection.
