A teenager in Detroit is recovering after being shot in a distressing encounter that turned a routine purchase into a near-fatal incident. The shooting, which took place on June 1 near the intersection of Montrose Street and Acacia Avenue, landed the 19-year-old victim in the hospital with gunshot injuries.
Authorities describe the harrowing situation that unfolded when the victim met with another individual to purchase clothing. As the teen tried on the attire, the seller revealed a firearm and a confrontation ensued. "During a struggle, the suspect reportedly shot the teen before leaving in a black sedan," according to ClickOnDetroit.
As reported by the Detroit Rewards TV, the suspect, last seen escaping the scene in a black sedan distinguishable by its black rims, is described as around 5 feet 7 inches tall with shoulder-length locs, wearing a black hat, a black "Essentials" hooded sweatshirt, and black pants.
