The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has turned to the community for help in a troubling matter: the identity of a woman found deceased along I-25 is still unknown. The call for public assistance follows the discovery of the body early on a Sunday morning by the southbound side of the interstate, notably just north of Exit 173 by Larkspur. According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, authorities are diligently working to determine not just her name, but also what led to her death.
Sharing the physical characteristics of the woman, the sheriff's office described her as an adult with brown or black hair, clothed in grey leggings and a black long-sleeve shirt. Alongside the body, bedding unmistakable in its design was found, giving rise to hope that it may catch someone's eye and precipitate a breakthrough. Found wearing grey leggings, someone may recognize the bedding and provide crucial information to investigators.
There is also a specific request directed at commercial drivers, any who were on southbound I-25 near Exit 173 on June 4th or June 5th are urged to review their dash camera footage. It's a broad net cast out for any footage presumably on those days; however mundane it might seem, it could prove critical for the case at hand.
