Arlington is buzzing with the news that the Downtown Arlington Farmers Market, which has been serving the community since its opening in March 2025, is adjusting its operating hours for the summer season, starting in June and stretching through the end of September, the market'll now welcome shoppers from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, providing residents with an earlier opportunity to grab fresh produce and artisan goods before the heat of the day sets in, according to the City of Arlington.
The market, a collective effort between the Downtown Arlington Management Corporation, the City of Arlington, and Four Seasons Markets, has become a staple for locals looking for fresh food and unique crafts located in the parking lot at the corner of Front and Center streets, just west of the Rotary Dream Park in Downtown, the market is also strategically placed near a variety of parking options that include free spaces on Front Street, the 101 Center parking garage, the lot west of City Hall, and additional spaces scattered across notable streets, ensuring accessibility for all shoppers
Each week, market goers can expect to find a rolodex of vendors ranging from 25 to 30 in number; this lineup showcases an assortment of locally sourced fruits and vegetables, freshly baked treats, and handmade items curated for the community, for those interested in the full list of weekly vendors, one may visit the Downtown Arlington's Farmers Market webpage as suggested by the Office of Communication.
Embracing the spirit of the marketplace, Maggie Campbell, President and CEO for Downtown Arlington, celebrated the market's contribution to the area, per the City of Arlington, "For years, our community has expressed a strong desire for a farmers market in Downtown Arlington. We are thrilled to finally bring this vision to life, offering a space where people can connect, support local businesses, and have access to fresh, locally sourced products.”
