Early this morning, a single-vehicle accident disrupted the quiet of Pittsburgh’s Mount Oliver neighborhood. As reported by WPXI, an SUV veered off the road around 5:40 a.m. at the intersection of Wagner Street and Mountain Avenue, plunging into the adjacent woods. A tow truck was on the scene to retrieve the vehicle, and a person was seen being taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
Reinforcing the report, WTAE indicated the driver, whose name has not been disclosed, was transported to a local hospital.
The roads, which had been closed following the accident, were reopened as the morning progressed, allowing for the resumption of regular traffic flow and the semblance of normalcy to return to the area.
