A Dundalk man, identified as Travis Dontray Thomas, is now facing a multitude of gun and drug charges stemming from what began as an alleged road rage incident in Baltimore County. According to Maryland State Police, the 26-year-old resident of Dundalk, Maryland, has been charged with two counts of felony assault, two counts of misdemeanor assault, and the use of a firearm during a felony crime in Baltimore County, with additional charges in Harford County for having a loaded handgun in his vehicle and possession of a firearm in commission of a drug trafficking crime.
Last Wednesday, during a road-rage interaction on outer loop I-695 close to I-95, the suspect is reported to have brandished a silver firearm at a fellow motorist and their passenger, an incident the uninjured victims promptly reported. Following the emergency call received by the Maryland State Police Golden Ring Barrack around 11 a.m. that day, investigators were able to capture Travis Thomas at his place of employment in Harford County.
Subsequently, while executing search warrants at his workplace yesterday, a loaded firearm and suspected cocaine, packaged for distribution, were uncovered by the troopers from the Maryland State Police Highway Gun Crimes Initiative. A further search conducted at Thomas' residence in Dundalk resulted in the seizure of two more firearms and additional suspected cocaine.
