The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early morning yesterday in Northeast Washington, D.C. Officers responded to the 1000 block of 16th Street, NE, just before 2 a.m., where they found 33-year-old Decordre Chiles of Oxon Hill, Maryland, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by DC Fire and EMS, as per the Metropolitan Police Department release.

The department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible.
