Following a high-speed chase in Montrose, which ended in a major collision involving three vehicles, eight individuals have been reported injured. The chaotic scene unfolded around 1:40 a.m. yesterday when a suspect, now in custody, lost control and collided with two rideshare vehicles at the intersection of Waugh Drive and West Gray Street. Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) officials, with assistance from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, were in pursuit of the suspect at the time of the crash.
As reported by Click2Houston, emergency services had to extricate six people from a minivan, indicating a scramble to address the immediate danger and mitigate the aftermath of the incident. The suspect was ejected from their vehicle during the crash, a violent end to the night's harrowing events.
The Texas DPS confirmed that out of the 11 people involved, eight were transported to local trauma centers, though their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The current condition of the suspect has also been addressed, noting that they were among those receiving hospital treatment. According to ABC13, details of the event's inception and potential charges have not been disclosed.
