The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a forecast predicting a prolonged period of sunny and hot weather for the region, with temperatures steadily climbing to reach the mid-century mark by the weekend. According to the National Weather Service, today's high is expected to be near 98°F with a southwesterly wind picking up in the morning, while tonight should remain mostly clear with a low around 71°F.
Residents looking towards the weekend should brace for a sizzling 105°F on both Saturday and Sunday, without much respite in the nighttime temperatures lingering around the low-70s, this consistent pattern reaffirms the summer's assertive arrival, and while the wind gusts may offer a momentary respite, they are not expected to provide significant cooling with the southwesterly winds only blowing at a moderate pace, and gusts reaching 20 mph at their peak.
The outlook remains unrelenting into the next week as hot conditions persist; Monday's forecast anticipates a sunny sky with a high approaching 103°F before a slight dip to a more temperate 97°F on Tuesday. The clear skies at night are also expected to give way to uninterrupted sunshine through Wednesday, when temperatures are slated to flirt with the century mark yet again.
