Residents will no longer receive the publication tucked in with their water bills. This change will come into effect later this year as part of an effort to modernize access to municipal news and trim down on costs associated with printing and mailing, according to the City of Euless.
Euless city officials aim to simplify the dissemination of news and save on unnecessary expenditures. Residents who are inclined towards digital consumption can access the latest issues of Euless Today with ease through the city's website. Yet, notwithstanding the swing towards online content, the city hasn't disregarded the preferences of those inclined to the tactile feeling of paper between their fingers. For that demographic, printed copies will be distributed and made available for pickup at designated City buildings.
The shift to online distribution is also touted as a means to accelerate the flow of information. A statement on the City's website indicates the intention behind this move: "This change aims to provide easier access to the newsletter, reduce printing and mailing costs, and allow us to share information in a more timely manner, ensuring that you stay up to date with the latest news and events."
