Everman is gearing up for a blast this summer with the return of Celebrate America Fest, a daylong explosion of entertainment, food, and, of course, fireworks. The Everman Emergency Services has announced the date for this family-friendly, no admission cost event – Saturday, June 28. According to the Everman Emergency Services, it's all set to happen at Pittman Park, 213 N. Race St., from noon until 10 p.m.
The event promises to outdo itself this year, with a record-breaking ensemble of 70 vendors offering a smorgasbord of food, drinks, and alcoholic refreshments. As part of the festivities, the All Funk Radio Show will command the stage, returning by popular demand to serenade attendees from the brand new Pittman Park Mainstage. Adding to the day's attractions will be a marketplace and expo, welcoming the public starting at noon, with public alcohol sales slated to begin at 2 p.m.
The crescendo of the evening is the live concert, starting at 7 p.m., featuring the aforementioned All Funk Radio Show, a band that has captivated crowds and is sure to bring down the house, or in this case, the park. According to the Everman Emergency Services, as the sun dips below the horizon, the night will be set ablaze with the "Best Fireworks Display South of I-20" exactly at 10 p.m., promising a dazzling end to a day packed with enjoyment.
