Tragedy struck late Sunday night on Route 32 in Severn as a single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a young man and injured another person. FOX Baltimore reported that Anne Arundel County Police Department responded to an incident at approximately 10:50 p.m., just east of the Telegraph Road overpass, where a 2021 Chevrolet Camaro veered off the road and collided with the center median guardrail.

After hitting the guardrail, the vehicle came to a halt and was subsequently enveloped in flames. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department was quick to respond and managed to put out the blaze. The driver, a 20-year-old woman from Easton, Maryland, waited at the scene for authorities, accompanied by several witnesses, as per the same source.

According to Daily Voice, the woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Her identity has not been disclosed, but police confirmed her as a resident of Easton.

The crash's second victim, a 22-year-old male passenger, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity remains withheld pending notification of next of kin.
