Los Angeles residents can expect a series of patchy fog conditions over the next few days, along with a consistent dance between cloudy skies and periods of sunshine. According to the National Weather Service, while the fog is likely to clear up by midday, those morning commutes might still see some gray.
Today, the National Weather Service predicts that after the fog lifts, the city will witness mostly sunny skies with a high hovering around the 80-degree mark. The winds are expected to be light and variable, shifting to the southwest at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Come evening, the fog will creep back in, bringing increasing clouds and a low around 61 degrees.
Looking forward to Friday, conditions will mirror today's, with fog in the morning and then clearing up to reveal a slightly warmer high near 81 degrees. The pattern of light winds continuing into the afternoon remains consistent, with the southwest breeze picking back up. Evening travelers will again see the return of patchy fog and an uptick in cloud coverage, leading to an overnight low of about 63.
As for the weekend, those with beach plans can rejoice as Saturday's forecast includes partly sunny skies after the morning fog, with temperatures pushing slightly higher to a peak near 82 degrees. However, not straying far from the script, fog will again cover the city after 11:00 p.m., maintaining mostly cloudy conditions overnight with a low dipping to around 64.
On Sunday, Los Angeles is set to experience an echo of the previous days, signaling a predictable rhythm between foggy start times and partly sunny afternoons with a high reaching approximately 84 degrees. Nightfall brings familiar cloud cover yet again, and the thermometer is expected to settle near 63 as night encroaches.
As the new week commences, Monday extends an invitation to more sunshine post morning fog, with the high approaching 80 degrees and a night that denotes mostly cloudy skies and a low near 62. The following days uphold this pattern, with Tuesday bringing a mostly sunny disposition post fog, and a similar high near 79 degrees. Evening conditions will be mostly cloudy with the temperature hovering around 63.
Wednesday looks to be the week's sunny standout, albeit after a bout with the ever-present morning fog, bestowing upon us a warmer high near 83 degrees.
