As the nation dresses in its celebratory red, white, and blue for the upcoming Independence Day, residents of Fort Worth are advised to take note of various city service schedule changes in observance of the holiday. According to an announcement by the City of Fort Worth, most city offices, including City Hall, will be closed on Friday, July 4, with emergency services maintaining their usual vigilance.
The City of Fort Worth has stated that while you won't find any disruption in regular solid waste collections, as garbage, recycling, yard waste, and bulk will all be collected as normal, however, the Drop-Off Stations along with the Environmental Collection Center will halt their services for the day. If your trash queries can't wait, the 817-392-1234 line is at your service.
In the realm of knowledge and leisure, the Fort Worth Library will echo with silence, its doors shut tight on July 4, and those looking to dive into a book or other library services will have to wait until the echo fades. Similar stillness will be found at community centers, Haws Athletic Center, McLeland Tennis Center, and the historically themed Log Cabin Village - all resting for the day; conversely, golf enthusiasts and swimmers can rejoice as courses and pools will stay open for enjoyment. Animal care services will pause too, with the South and North Animal Campuses taking a day off, despite Alliance and Hulen PetSmart Adoption Centers welcoming potential pet parents from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on July 4.
Those needing water or facing an H2O hitch can still reach the automated system of the Water Department for payments, inquiries, or emergencies at 817-392-4477; despite this day of national pride and reflection, the flow of help will not dry up. The City News post also advises public transit users that Trinity Metro buses and On-Demand paratransit services will follow Sunday schedules, meanwhile, Trinity Metro TEXRail remains on track with its regular services; on the other hand, some services like Mansfield On-Demand will suspend their operations and gamers, workers, and wanderers must note that Trinity Railway Express, TRE LINK, and CentrePort Circulator will not be in motion.
