The City of Fort Worth's Communications team has much to celebrate after bagging five TAMI Awards at the 2025 Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) Conference that occurred last Thursday. Fort Worth's own proved their prowess in government communications by topping three categories. Standing out with a first-place win for their Special Publication, a coloring book designed by Fort Worth Animal Care & Control, they also clinched the top spot for their 2050 Comp Plan/M1M Marketing PSA, and their regular program, "Fort Worth Forward," according to the City of Fort Worth.

Amidst stiff competition with a total of 658 entries spanning 29 categories, the team still managed to score an Award of Honor for best logo on the Tarrant County Heart Walk T-shirt and an educational PSA explaining "Why Our Fire Trucks Are White"; this not only showcases their versatile abilities but also their commitment in touching various facets of city life with expertise and creative flair, even more impressive because the awards ceremony was held in Fort Worth, lending a home-court advantage to their achievements. The TAMI Awards are a testament to the skillful and impactful communication strategies that municipal teams use to foster community understanding and engagement.

Recognition at the TAMIO Conference is no small feat; it's a sought-after accolade that heralds excellence in fields such as video production, social media management, and marketing strategy in the sphere of government operations across the state. The winning entries from Fort Worth reflect the dedication required to stand out among the hundreds of submissions that came in from various Texas municipalities striving for excellence in government communication.

The winning team comprised several members, including Valerie Colapret, Paul Trigona, Grant Chaparro, Alison Rich, Jason MacGregor, Alana Earle, and Cameron Gorman; they were all in attendance to revel in their diverse accomplishments, their smiles and collective sense of success could easily be discerned through the vibrancy captured in the moment immortalized by the event's photography, a token of their collective effort and shared triumph in the dynamic and ever-evolving landscape of municipal communication.
