Early this morning, a mobile home fire in Seminole County resulted in injuries to four individuals. The Seminole County Fire Department responded to emergency calls around 6:12 a.m. from Racoon Trail, roughly a stone's throw east of State Road 46 in Geneva. According to the department's statement, as detailed by ClickOrlando, the blaze was violent enough to necessitate a defensive attack. It required the collaborative efforts of the neighboring Oviedo Fire Department and Sanford Fire to be extinguished.
The gravity of the situation was clear upon the firefighters' arrival. They found that while one of the home's occupants had courageously extricated two other individuals, a fourth resident, escaping the flames, climbed through a window. ClickOrlando reported that two of those affected were whisked away as trauma alerts with significant burns—one via helicopter to Orlando and another transported by ground. A third victim was also provided advanced life support and is described as stable, while the fourth person fortunately sustained no injuries.
Meanwhile, WESH has confirmed that, alongside the fire department, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office and Oviedo police are also participating in the ongoing investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
