Four roofers were shocked this morning when the metal ladder they were working with came into contact with a high-voltage wire at Grace Lutheran Church in Rochester Borough, Beaver County. According to WPXI, the incident occurred on Ohio Avenue, where emergency services responded to the scene. Three of the workers were taken to Heritage Valley Hospital, and another to UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh.
Meanwhile, further details emerged from Audacy, reporting that the incident occurred around 8 a.m. It was revealed that when first responders arrived, three of the victims were in cardiac arrest and one had suffered severe burns. Life-saving measures were administered, and all victims were reported to be in serious condition.
Utility company Duquesne Light was on the scene and issued a brief comment regarding the incident. "DLC is on site and aware of the situation in the Rochester area in Beaver County. It is under investigation, and we do not have any further details as this time," the company stated, as reported by WPXI.
