
A fourth person, 19-year-old J'lon Dakarai Griffin, was taken into custody and charged with capital murder in the Willow Place Drive shooting on March 1. The charge was filed in the 185th State District Court. The victim, Miguel "Mickey" Gonzalez Jr., 18, was lured to the location to purchase items, then robbed and shot. Andres Garcia, 20, and Joshua Richards, 17, were previously charged with capital murder in the 176th State District Court, according to the City of Houston.
The incident occurred at an apartment complex at 8301 Willow Place Drive. HPD patrol officers found Gonzalez unresponsive in the courtyard. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded quickly, but Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene. "HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective J. Wallschlaeger reported," providing details of the discovery and investigation, as mentioned by the City of Houston.
A 16-year-old male was named as a suspect and referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation on a capital murder charge. His identity and booking information have not been released. Griffin was also arrested on Tuesday in connection with the case.
