It's about to get much cooler in Cleveland as the Division of Parks and Recreation rolls out their pool schedule for the summer of 2025, and guess what, it's completely on the house. Starting tomorrow, all you pool lovers can dive into a variety of outdoor and indoor pools across the city without spending a dime. From splashing around in Duggan Park to doing laps in Collinwood, the city’s got you covered with a span of facilities open to every age group, boasting a broad spectrum of activities in art, sports, and even career readiness.
Those eager to beat the heat can visit Cleveland's pool locations that are scattered throughout various neighborhoods, open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 7:30 p.m. Although they're taking a one-hour break at 4 p.m. daily for staff, they're doubling down on safety with armed security present at all times during open hours. Detailed schedules can be found on the Cleveland City website, and residents must register through the city’s online catalog to secure their spot in the sun or, well, shade if that's your preference.
For folks looking to trade in their towel for a whistle, opportunities to work as a lifeguard this summer are up for grabs, and those with a current American Red Cross certification can even skip ahead to a fast-tracked hiring process. Dial (216) 664-2570 to get in on that deal.
