A 22-year-old man from Gaithersburg, who sustained critical injuries following a hit-and-run in Hanover, clings to life, as local authorities continue their search for the perpetrator. The Anne Arundel County Police Department is calling for the public's assistance in tracking down a bronze-colored vehicle involved in the incident, which occurred early last Saturday morning, as reported by Fox Baltimore.
The collision took place around 2:04 a.m. at the intersection of Dorsey Road and Aviation Boulevard. Struck while walking in the westbound lanes of Dorsey Road, the victim, a Montgomery County resident, was found by first responders and subsequently rushed to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for treatment. The driver of the bronze vehicle did not stay at the scene to render aid or provide information and has been the subject of an ongoing investigation by the Crash Reconstruction Team, according to WBAL-TV.
Even though it was early and still dark, police believe someone might have seen something that could help identify the driver. Anne Arundel County Police are asking anyone with any information—big or small—to call 410-222-8610 or contact the Crash Reconstruction Team at 410-222-8573.
