Authorities in Harris County have reported the apprehension of a wanted individual following a routine traffic stop earlier this week. Yesterday, an officer from Constable Mark Herman's Office conducted the stop on a vehicle within the 18100 Block of Stone Trail Manor Drive, resulting in the arrest of driver Clasha Powers.
The encounter took a critical turn when an outstanding felony warrant for Powers was discovered during a standard warrant search. Powers was sought for Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger, a charge that has substantial implications, especially in a county known to strictly enforce DUI laws.
"The warrant was confirmed and Clasha Powers was arrested and transported to the Harris County Jail," Constable Mark Herman's Office stated in a Facebook post. Powers' bond was subsequently set at $5,000.00, with the case being designated to the 179th District Court.
