Local authorities are intensifying efforts to combat property crime following the identification and charging of a suspect involved in a theft at a Lowe's Home Improvement store. Constable Mark Herman's Patrol Division responded to the incident, which occurred along Tomball Parkway. The item reported stolen was a Toro lawn mower.
After the patrol division responded, the case was quickly turned over to Constable Herman's Criminal Investigations Division. The assigned detective identified the suspect as John Patt, who has previously been jailed in Harris County for another theft. This wasn’t an isolated incident—Patt has a history of similar crimes in the area. According to the Constable's Facebook page, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office promptly accepted a new theft charge. "This agency takes a firm stance against Theft and works diligently to recover property losses for our citizens," Constable Mark Herman said.
In keeping the public informed and engaged, the Constable's Office emphasizes the relevance of community participation in crime prevention and awareness. To this end, residents are encouraged to follow the Constable’s updates on crime, arrests, and more through their new mobile app “C4 NOW.” These live feeds aim to provide valuable safety tips, traffic accident reports, and road condition alerts, fostering a collaborative effort with the public to maintain vigilance in their neighborhoods.
