In Harris County, a routine patrol took an unexpected turn when deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office encountered an unusual scene. A woman, later identified as Aletha Farrar, was found asleep at the wheel of her vehicle, parked in the 5800 block of Broad Valley Court. It was during the early hours of June 25, 2025, when the law enforcement officers stumbled upon this incident while responding to a report.
The deputies' attempt to rouse Farrar from her slumber wasn't just a wake-up call but the beginning of a sobriety saga that led to her arrest. Displaying several signs of intoxication, Farrar was put through the paces of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which she subsequently failed.
Constable Mark Herman did not hesitate to inform the public about the incident. Constable Mark Herman's office reported on Facebook, "Aletha Farrar was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated." The constable's post concluded without providing any details on Farrar's bond or court information, at the time of publication.
