Authorities responded to a vehicular incident on the 7300 block of Aerobic Drive, where an individual struck a light pole, raising concerns of driving under the influence. Chance Knight, the driver involved, was found displaying signs indicative of intoxication. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office arrived on the scene to assess the situation, leading to the administration of the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. These measures are aimed to objectively evaluate the impairment of a driver.
The results appeared to confirm authorities' suspicions, as Knight was found to be driving under the influence. Following the Field Sobriety Tests, "Chance Knight was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated," according to a Facebook post from Constable Mark Herman's office. County Court 1 set Knight’s bond at $100.00.
The Constable’s office encourages the community to follow their Facebook page for updates on local events. They have also introduced a mobile application called "C4 NOW," which provides live information on crime, arrests, and traffic accidents within the precinct.
